Having regular reflexology can be especially beneficial for those suffering fertility problems. It can help hormonal imbalances, regulate the menstrual cycle and relieve the anxiety of being unable to think of anything other than having a baby. Acupuncture is also an excellent therapy for treating fertility problems
As a general rule of thumb this is usually weekly for between four to six weeks, after which it may be reduced to fortnightly or even monthly visits.
Reproflexology is a specialised form of reflexology during the pre-conceptual care phase, the aim is to correct any hormonal imbalances, improve physical conditions, manage stress levels, and correct any cycle irregularities.
At the stage of implantation, reflexology is usually stopped, but can be continued after the 1st trimester to help with stress reduction, back ache, nausea, digestive problems, insomnia, fear of childbirth, aching feet, or other symptoms. Couples going through assisted conception will need to obtain written consent from their consultant prior to receiving any reflexology during the 1st trimester.
Try to rest for the rest of the day, as this will help the treatment work to its full potential and will allow your body to begin the balancing/healing process. Avoid tea, coffee and alcohol as these are stimulants and will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Keep hydrated with water. Also avoid strenuous exercise.
They are usually around 45 minutes
